Storage Node vs Object Storage – Which Would You Choose?
« on: June 11, 2026, 11:22:53 AM »
GTHost recently launched a Storage Node platform offering storage access through SMB, FTP, SFTP, and rsync. Unlike object storage services, it provides a more traditional file-storage approach and starts at $10/month for 1 TB. It appears aimed at users storing backups, logs, mail archives, and release packages. Which approach do you prefer for long-term storage: file-based storage nodes or object storage platforms?

Use Promo Code: SNB-1-FREE - First month of SNB-1 (1 TB) free, plus free SNB-IC-10 (10 TB external traffic) when added to the same node. One per account. Valid through June 30, 2026. Heads up: SNB-IC-10 is added separately from the control panel after checkout. Without it, your Storage Node stays internal-only. Standard protocols, one set of credentials. Works with rclone, rsync over SSH, FileZilla, WinSCP, and native mount on Linux and Windows. Give GTHost.com Storage Nodes a try. Recommended.
