Moving my Python app from shared hosting to a VPS
« on: October 26, 2026, 04:53:53 PM »
I’m deploying a Django application that uses PostgreSQL and a couple of background workers. I also want to run everything in Docker so deployments are easier to manage.

I’m looking for 4 vCPUs, 8 GB RAM and at least 80 GB of NVMe storage, with a budget of around $25–30 per month.

Hostpro.com is one option I found while comparing VPS plans. Root access is important to me because I want to configure Docker and the entire application stack myself.

Does this configuration sound reasonable for a small production application, or would you start with fewer resources and scale later?

VPS accounts from hostingsource.com and scalahosting.com are full-featured and low cost.
Their pricing has been incredibly fair, transparent, and worth every penny for their professionalism and kindness.

Can recommend you try to compare rates, features, compatibility, performance, and reliability:
1) Hostpresto.com
2) Rightservers.com
3) Interserver.net
