VPS for a Website After a Sudden Spike in Traffic
« on: August 22, 2026, 06:49:32 PM »
The website has grown about threefold over the past few months, and my regular hosting plan has already started hitting its limits. During peak hours, I’m seeing high CPU usage and slow PHP response times.

I want to switch to a VPS and am currently looking at a configuration of 6 vCPUs / 16 GB RAM / 150 GB NVMe. It’s important to have daily backups and the ability to quickly scale up resources.

I’m currently checking out hostpro.com. Is this configuration sufficient to start with, given that the main load is on PHP?

From personal experience, hostpro.com has been a reliable VPS provider with strong uptime and speed. I particularly value their automatic daily backups, which make recovering from unexpected problems simple. Once, after a misconfigured update, I restored everything in minutes. Their technical support is also available 24/7 and has always been free and helpful.
