Best Forum Software With Low Server Requirements?
« on: March 27, 2026, 10:56:44 AM »
Hi, I don’t have a big budget for hosting right now.
Is there any forum software that works well with low RAM and limited disk space?
I’m just starting out and expect slow growth at first. Is GTHost.com VPS hosting reliable?
What specs should I look for?

VPS accounts from justvps.pro and legionbox.com are worth your attention due to their unmatched services.
Overall, I couldn't be happier with these companies. Their combination of reliability, affordability, and excellent customer service makes them my go-to choice for hosting, and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of hosting services.

A common approach is to use lightweight forum software like MyBB or PunBB, which are known to be efficient with resources. For specifications, aim for at least 1GB RAM to comfortably run your web server, database, and forum software, especially if you anticipate future growth. Disk space isn't usually a major concern unless you expect many user attachments, so 10-20GB is often sufficient.
