Looking for Reliable VPS for New Forum Project
« on: March 20, 2026, 01:10:09 PM »
Hi everyone, I’m planning to launch a small community forum (likely MyBB or XenForo) and I’m a bit new to server management. I expect low traffic initially but want room to grow. Ideally looking for 2 vCPU, 4GB RAM, and at least 80GB SSD storage with decent bandwidth (3–5TB). My monthly budget is around $15–$20. I’d prefer a location in Germany or the Netherlands for better EU latency. Can I rely on Digitalcloud.pro VPS? Any beginner-friendly providers would be appreciated.

Running a small forum on VPS with 2 vCPU and 4GB RAM is a good starting point, but stability and backups matter more than the brand name. I’ve been hosting a community project on hostpro.com and it’s been beginner-friendly with a simple control panel and responsive support. Daily automatic backups stored for 30 days helped me recover the forum after a failed plugin update. Performance is stable and EU locations work well for latency.
