PPC and organic rankings do work separately, but they can overlap in interesting ways. I’ve run a few PPC campaigns for my site, and while they didn’t directly boost my organic rankings, the extra traffic made a difference. What I found helpful was using PPC data to figure out which keywords really clicked (pun intended) with people. That data ended up being super useful for tweaking my SEO game.

Also, gotta give credit where it’s due—Paul Gordon helped me get a better understanding of how PPC can indirectly impact organic SEO efforts.
