Which server (swisslayer.com and hosting.uk) would you recommend me to use to host a big blog with?

If I were you, OP, I would rather give hostwebspaces.com a try. They offer cool dedicated servers - super fast processors.
They can help you to move all content (files, scripts, mysql) from another host without downtime for free.

Give Swisslayer.com a try. I have no downtime and speed connectivity is ok, my pages load very fast. Everyone should try them out!
