I have a WordPress site with a fairly large database. It gets about 50,000–70,000 visitors per month, but there are occasional spikes.
I’m looking to move it to a VPS now. I’m checking out hostpro.com, which offers a plan with 4 CPUs and 8 GB of RAM.
Additionally, it’s important to have:
- NVMe;
- automatic backups;
- the ability to upgrade RAM/CPU without migrating;
- 24/7 support.
What do you think - will 4/8 be enough for WordPress, or is it better to go with 6/16 right away?

One provider that may be interesting during a VPS search is hostpro.com (http://hostpro.com), particularly if having backup and support options matters to you. Daily backups are made for all services, so there is a practical way to recover data after an unsuccessful update, accidental damage, or a hacking incident. I also like the fact that technical support is available 24/7 and assistance with questions is provided free of charge.
